Wishing You A Wonderful Mother’s Day
Motherhood is a unique, loving, heartwarming, demanding and yet a rewarding relationship. Becoming a mom is in itself a big change, and most moms would realize how different their world was before becoming a mother.
Moms try to give their best to their family and children without expecting much. The rewards a mom looks for are small, yet significant! A hug or a smile from her child would make a mom’s day. She loves to tell bedtime stories and to kiss her child when s/he sleeps. She loves to cook delicious and nourishing meals for her children, and loves it even more watching them enjoy the meal. Watching her children grow happy, healthy and beautiful is her biggest reward. Getting love and respect from her children is all a mom would want.
Getting flowers, presents and gifts on Mother’s Day would really bring some extra happiness in her life, and she would remember the day fondly, even after decades!
Taking care of parents in their old age is the only way one can reward parents for their unconditional, unmatched, tireless efforts and love during one’s childhood.
By 2014, Mother’s Day would complete its 100 years of celebration! The first Mother’s Day was celebrated in the year 1914, after a successful campaign by Anna Marie Jarvis, the founder of Mother’s Day as we know today. Anna wanted every child to show love for his/her mother on this day, such as by writing a personal note, by bringing flowers or small gifts and spending some time. She was quite upset (and was also arrested because of this!) with the commercialization of the concept, especially with buying greeting cards, as she felt that it was a relatively feeble way of expressing love and respect for moms.*
Wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day!
