My experience at the hospital

Hospitals Experience and Review
How was your experience with the doctors and staff at the hospital
where your baby was delivered?

Koel: I had my delivery in Kolkata where the morning staff at the
nursing home were really good, but as far as the night nurses are
concerned – I had some terrible experience. Post delivery of my second
child, I had certain complications and I was made to wear a catheter.
I have a habit if drinking a lot of water, which meant that the urine
bag needed to be emptied very often. One of the mornings when I woke
up there was water all over the room and when I asked the nurse what
it is – they said that since I drank a lot of water my urine bag
overflowed and was all over the room. The attending Nurse did not make
any effort to change my urine bag like the day nurses would do. I
would recommend everyone who face similar situations to pay attention
cause if the urine bag is not emptied in time it can lead to other
health related complications.

Really it is not good, the nurse responsibility is to take care for patient and it's their duty to remember they should not forget it. The Nursing courses are given to take care for patients. If in case they don't do that complaint it so that next time they don't do to any other patient.

That is awful Koel! Absolutely unacceptable. In today's connected world and social media power, every service provider must be very careful else negative publicity like this can seriously damage one's image!

I feel that services like health care are becoming more and more money minded and less humane each day. I have read few scary stories about everyday experiences of patients in hospitals, in person and in magazines. I think It is time to raise voice and awareness against malpractices of doctors and staff at hospitals.
