| About Me | I am a gynaecologist, on a Sabbatical at this time. I have worked overseas for the last 30 odd years. My husband is an Anaesthetist. I have two children, who are not in the Medical field and a brand new grand daughter who is as cute as a button. Given that I have so many years of experience in my field, I feel I could be of much help to all the Moms out there who need some information from a Medical perspective. I thought this platform would be perfect for that sort of interaction. |

| I am here because | Being an Obstetrician, I know that Moms and Moms to be will have innumerable pregnance related questions– diet, weight gain, medication- what over- the- counter medication is safe- and so on. Queries in the post natal period- the 6 weeks soon after delivery- breast feeding, family planning, whether a Pap smear is necessary or not at the post natal check up– and I am sure a whole lot more. There are doubts that a woman may not feel quite comfortable discussing even with her gynaecologist for fear of appearing ill- informed. That's where I come in. |
| My Interests | I am a pretty 'arty' type of person.. I have a Diploma in Interior Decoration from Australia– as a matter of interest, a scene in the movie "3 Idiots" was shot in my apartment, thanks to my interior decor, I paint, I love cooking whenever I find time, and my recent interest in 'New Age Spirituality' Now this is not some 'running off into the caves and living on grass' kind of thing.. this includes Physical discipline- exercise, healthy eating, knowing and respecting your body, realizing that your body is like a temple and you do not put in rubbish in a temple .? I also travel a lot– have been to Africa, West Indies, most of the Asian countries and the West. |
