This page is intended to help new members know some how to’s of participating as a part of the community. Moms can participate by adding blog posts, creating groups, participate in forums, add comments and connect with other moms by adding them to their friends list.
Important Note: Please submit articles written originally by you, and not any information or article copied as is from books, magazines, newspapers, websites or blogs etc. If you have referred any such sources of information to write your article then please do mention the source of reference at the ending of the article. Excerpts taken from other sources should also be mentioned in the articles. e.g. An excerpt from the book “Book Name” by “Author Name” says “Excerpt”.

Smartmomz is meant to be used as an online platform for moms to connect, share and learn from each other. The platform becomes what the members make of it, and they are free to utilize this platform as frequently, and as extensively as they want as a medium of expression and online social activity. Its a place for moms from all ages and stages and from different places and cultures to come together so that they can get valuable information and good practices from other cultures. Its a place to celebrate motherhood!
The content presented by Smartmomz should be considered as valuable knowledge and information derived from real life experiences of moms. We at Smartmomz always strive to keep this platform ethical and transparent.
Membership is free for everyone and moms with kids from all age groups are welcome to join. Just visit the Sign Up page, enter details there and you will have an account with us in no time. Members can also login / register using the sidebar.
All members can join groups on the site and can create their own groups. To see the list of existing groups, go to the “Groups Page“.

There are public, private and hidden groups. In the list of groups, you can see only public and private groups.

Creating a group is very simple. Just press the “Create Group” button on the top left of the groups page and you will land on a page just like in the following image.

After creating the group by following the simple steps, you will be directed to the page where you can manage the group. Go to the send invites tab to call in members to join the group:

After sending the invitations, you can set the Email Options:

For creating or participating in discussions within an existing group, Please visit the Group Forum. There’s also a Support Forum for members who are facing any difficulty using the platform.
SmartMomz offers different roles to members depending on their activity level. You may also Contact Us in case you would like to upgrade your account to Author Mode.
- Author – They don’t need the administrator’s permission to publish a post or comment on the site, and can add videos, photos and sound clips to their blog posts.
- Contributor – This is the default member role, and most of the moms here are in this role. They can also add videos, sound clips and pictures to their blog posts. They just need administrator’s permission first before publishing a post or a comment on the site. After they write a blog post or a comment, they need to wait for sometime to see it on the site, that is after the site owner reviews it.
- Subscriber – Somebody who can only manage her profile and cannot post blogs. This role is mostly for spammers, and such users are deleted in case they do not provide good credentials.
Sorry for the trouble, but I hope you checked your email for completing the registration by activating your account.
Another case can be that your registration was taken as a spam. Don’t worry, admins are able to notice all registrations and will be in touch with you. In case of spam registrations, members do not get a welcome mail, in which the activation link is there to activate their account. So their username and password is still to be activated with the site. So make sure you click the activation link in case you get the welcome mail.

Go to Community->Members. The list of members will be loaded, now click on any member’s name you want to connect with. Some page like this will open, click the “Add Friend” button.

Or you might like to visit the “Meet the moms” page where members are introduced briefly and you might find it easier to know more about our members and connect with them.
